crowned - Quartz Crystal necklace. This necklace is made from a piece of "singing quartz". There is a lot of shape and pattern to the crystal. The patterning reminds me a little of lightening strike quartz.
I use the same technique that is used in doing stained glass. The jewelry is made from a copper base with jewelry grade, silver solder layered over it. The soldering is done directly onto the crystal by hand. There is no nickel or harmful metals here.
There is a lot of texture in the metalwork around the quartz. I have darkened it with patina and polished the finished pendant.
It is on a stainless steel cable chain that measures 20" in length.
